About Caedmon
Caedmon (named after a seventh-century Anglo-Saxon poet-monk) is an acid/psychedelic folk band formed in 1973 in Edinburgh. They disbanded in Edinburgh in 1978 and reformed in 2008. Formed in 1973 by a trio of veterinary students attending Edinburgh University, the band expanded to a quartet the following year and embarked on a touring career. They appeared in Edinburgh Festival Fringe at The Netherbow Arts Centre in 1976 and 1977, and at the Greenbelt Festival in 1977.
