
Bruno Cocset was born in 1963, graduated from the National Conservatory of Tours for the Cello (Gold Medal in 1979), Music Room (Diploma graduation in 1979) and Music Theory (Gold Medal 1978). He entered the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Lyon in 1980, but left three years later due to artistic differences with his cello instructor. He has attended master classes with the cellist Anner Bijlsma and violinist Jaap Schroeder. He has played with William Christie (Les Arts Florissants)
