About Bruce Ruffin
Bruce Ruffin is a reggae singer and songwriter famous for his gentle, sweet voice. Ruffin was born Bernardo Constantine Balderamus in February 1952. He first sang with Byron Lee and the Dragonaires then joined the Techniques, one of the more successful rocksteady vocal groups of the late '60s where he sang alongside Pat Kelly, Winston Riley and Junior Menns. By 1969 he left the Techniques and embarked on a solo career. Notable songs include Love Is Not a Gamble, Restless, Long About Now and a cover of José Feliciano's Rain.
