About Brassly
Brassly formed in Chicago in 2025, and like most things worth keeping, it wasn't entirely planned. Maren Ellis and Miles Fenn had been making music together since their teenage years — rehearsals in basements, late nights workshopping songs too ambitious for the bands they were in. Miles spent two years at a conservatory before walking away with exactly what he needed: a deeper harmonic vocabulary, and Owen Callahan, a drummer whose pocket makes everyone around him play better without knowing why.
