Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. The current lineup features singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarists Phil X and John Shanks, percussionist Everett Bradley, and bassist Hugh McDonald. Founding bassist Alec John Such left in 1994, and longtime guitarist and co-songwriter Richie Sambora departed in 2013. The band first gained attention with their 1984 self-titled debut album, propelled by the Top 40 single "Runaway.
