
About Bobby Mitchell
Bobby Mitchell was an American rhythm & blues singer born in Algiers, Louisiana, in 1935 or 1938. He died in New Orleans, Louisiana, on 17 March 1989. He recorded for Imperial (1953-1957 and 1962), with odd recording sessions for Sho-Biz, Ron and Rip (1960-1963), all in New Orleans. Several of his recordings were released under the moniker Bobby Mitchell & The Toppers. Bobby Mitchell is also the name of a classical pianist.
