Bobby Lord (1934 - 2008), born in Sanford, FL, was a country and rockabilly singer, songwriter, and guitarist and television star. Bobby's musical career started as a teenager Tampa, FL, when he was asked to host a television show after appearing as a guest on the show for two weeks. His first big break came after winning an amateur talent contest to appear on Paul Whiteman's TV show in New York in the early 1950's. In 1953 he was signed on with
