About Black Task
Black Task was a thrash/metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania formed in 1983. They had 3 official releases - 1 being their 'Spikes To The Wall' demo (released in 1984), a self titled 12" ep (released in 1985 on Damnation) and a full length called 'Long After Midnight' (released in 1986 on Axe Killer). The band's name was originally called 'Blacktask' (one word) - made up of the word 'black' and a combination of the initials of its member's last names: Jim Trub, Warren Appleby, Gus Santiago & Steve Kristiansen.
