About Bird Furniture
Bird Furniture evolved from a solo project by frontman Robin Ong. After moving to Philadelphia and playing in a revolving door of dorm-room cover bands, he partnered with bass player and vocalist Ally Wisnewski to begin working on original music. Pulling in guitarist Chris Casserly and drummer Zakee Hawkins for live performances, they spent the next year writing and recording their debut LP, Distant Violence and the Sun. Bird Furniture's music is inextricable from Ong's unadulterated lyricism
