About Billynho Blanco
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Billynho Blanco was brought up in the midst of Bossa Nova, in the 1960s. At three years of age he began singing with his father, Billy Blanco Sr., himself a long time partner of Tom Jobim and Baden Powell, and one of the forefathers of the Bossa Nova movement. At the age of 9, Billy Jr. performed during The 1st International Song Festival in Rio de Janeiro, and recorded singing with the group Quarteto em Cy (known in the U.
