Antonio Hardy (born September 10, 1968), known professionally as Big Daddy Kane, is an American rapper, producer, and actor. He began his career in 1986 as part of the Juice Crew. He has been cited as an influential figure in hip-hop for his technical skill, lyricism, and stage presence. His song “Ain’t No Half-Steppin’” was included on Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time, where he was described as a prominent artist of hip-hop’s late 1980s era and an influence on later generations of rappers.
