About BFT
The Skipperdees, formerly known as BFT, formally known as Blunt Force Trauma, is a snazzy, funkalicious group from the Ridge, Tennessee made up of Emily Backus (drizzums) and Catherine Backus (vocals and gi-tar). Influenced by such music greats as Cheap Trick, Salt-N-Pepa, Patsy Cline, and, of course, Fergie, The Skipperdees puts together a sound that is not only creative, but plain ol' knee-slappin', finger lickin' good! The Skipperdees came into the mainstream Oak Ridge music scene after their song "The Abstinence Song" hit the shelves.
