bête tête was born in what is today ashland, ky to a Shawnee elder. he was said to be a special child. due to growing invasions by the Iroquois he was placed in a sky boat of wolf skins and drifted in the jet stream for three years. during this time he made detailed notes on the skins stretched over his vessel in Esparonto on the movement of weather patterns. a freak storm sent his ship crashing into the yellow sea. he floated on a whale carcass
