About Bergfolk
1) Founded in 1985 in Wernigerode, the band around Heiko Schilling (flutes, bagpipes, shawm, forest zither, lansquenet drum, spoon, humming pot, Jew's harp) still exists today after several changes of line-up. They played mainly German folk standards, and from 1988 to 1990 also song theatre with sagas from the Harz and newly written folk songs. In 1989 Bergfolk took part in the Folkwerkstatt, professional status was planned for 1990. Later, street music at the TFF Rudolstadt several times.
