Rebbeca Marie Gomez, known professionally as Becky G, was born in Los Angeles on March 2, 1997. She is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Her musical career began in 2009 when she joined a girl group called G.L.A.M., and later another group named B.C.G.. Before her music career took off, Becky had already made small appearances in modeling and acting. Her breakthrough came in 2011 when she posted a remake of Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Otis on YouTube.
