About Bawer Can
WHO IS BAWER CAN? Bawer Can was born in Mardin / Derik, a town in Northern Kurdistan. After finishing secondary and high school in Derik he entered to university. His main aim was to be a teacher but because he sanged banned Kurdish music he had to leave Derik and exiled to Cukurova, a town in South of Turkey. Since his childhood he was within the work of culture! activities. He would have then gone to traditional wedding celebrations, play ritm and would have sang in Kurdish.
