About Alikbar Moradi and Parvin Namazi
Ali Akbar Moradi (born 1957) is a well known Kurdish musician and composer. He was born in Kermanshah in south west Kurdistan. He started music at a very early age, he learned the Kurdish maqam repertoire and became the greatest Kurdish master of tanbur. Parvin Namazi (born in 1955) is a singer from Mashhad, Iran. She started her singing career on television at the age of nine. Namazi traveled to Germany to pursue her studies when she was eighteen.
