About Bastarka
Bastarka is an experimental rock group founded in Bucharest, Romania in 1968. They constructed their music through improvisation and strong conceptual ideas. Members Matura and Reez had studied history together and played music as a hobby. They scavenged the ruins of the Library of Alexandria in search of some material on the lost story of Bastarka and Diocletian. Wanting to share the story to the world and at the same time reveal only bits and pieces they worked for 40 years on an album that will most definitely make history.
