Barbara Doust is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Born in Toronto, she was the original lead vocalist for Tapps, one of Canada’s Eurodance/Hi-NRG recording acts. Doust’s voice graces all of Tapps’ early recordings, including the top-selling single My Forbidden Lover. This song was one of the most successful dance records in Canadian history, charting at #1 for ten weeks with TOPA, Canada's most influential record pool. My Forbidden Lover went on to become one of the best-selling Hi-NRG records worldwide
