Bagad de Lann-Bihoué is among the best known of traditional Breton music ensembles (bagadoù). It's a military formation that consists of around 30 members divided into sections: biniou (bagpipes), bombardes (a cross between an oboe and a conical-bored pipe chanter) and batterie (percussion) but sometimes incorporates additional instruments, such as a violin or accordion. It was founded in 1952 in the naval base of Lann-Bihoué and since 1956 officially represents the French navy. Official site (French): http://www.defense.gouv.fr
