About Backfish
Back Fish was a Indiepop / pop band from Skellefteå, Sweden. Back Fish was formed in late 1993 as Backfisch Blue by Katherine Bergstrom, Anna Wallmark, guitarist Linda Åkerlund and her twin sister Nina Åkerlund on drums. All members were then 17 years old and had met at a music lesson that autumn. They had seen the movie about The Doors and had one goal: to not play cover songs. Eventually they got a rehearsal space at the local recreation center south of Anderson in Skellefteå.
