About Aziz Herawi
Aziz Herawi {عزیز هروی} (b. c.1952) is an Afghan musician, specialising in the dutar and rubab, both plucked string instruments. Born in Herat, Afghanistan, he first heard the dutar being played when he was seven years old; he persuaded one of the family servants to buy an instrument for him from a shepherd.
