About Autochtone
Autochtone were an Oxford-based leftfield indie band, active 1999-2005. Initially a solo project for songwriter Dan Gavin, Autochtone became a more tangible concern in 2001 with the additions of Alistair Curd and Tim Hancock. The band's live shows, the bulk of which took place in the Oxford and West Midlands areas, would be characterised by the frequent swapping of instruments, yet the most common arrangement would see Dan on lead vocals and guitar or keys, Alistair on drums and Tim on bass.
