About Arktika
Artika is a post-hardcore/post-rock band from Cologne whose records are sold via the label Narshardaa Records. Arktika's style can be described as a mixture of atmospheric post-rock and hardcore with screamo elements, with the songs often reaching a length of more than 10 minutes. Arktika's sound is regularly compared to the Japanese band Envy. According to their own statements, the band named themselves after the Russian nuclear icebreaker of the same name. At the end of 2012, Arktika announced that the band would break up during 2013.
