About Arbeid Adelt!
Arbeid Adelt! was a Belgian new wave band formed in 1981 by frontman Marcel Vanthilt and Jan Van Roelen. Their music style is hard to define. It's a mix of absurd punk and electronical beats. "Ik sta scherp" and ""Schuld, mij treft geen ..." were their first two songs. They first got noticed on a Belgian TV show in 1982 when they performed one of their songs called "De dag dat het zonlicht ...". Another Belgian singer, John Terra, had a song with the same name and although it wasn't a cover of his song Terra was offended by the lyrics.
