Aqua is a name shared by multiple music groups from different countries and genres. 1. Aqua is Danish-Norwegian dance-pop group formed in 1989 originally under the name Joyspeed, later renamed Aqua in 1994. They gained international fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits such as "Barbie Girl." Their first three singles reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. They released two albums, "Aquarium" in 1997 and "Aquarius" in 2000, before disbanding in 2001.
