About Apna
Apna was formed in Finland early 2003 by Jani Hirvonen a.k.a. Uton and his two young cousins Anniina and Jesse from North Karelia. First recordings were made with kitchen percussions and voices (Jani & Anniina duo), and at next summer 2003 they all met again, and they recorded their first album. It happened in a caravan area of summer vacation place, south of Finland, place called Suvikunta. Other half of recordings happened in the washing-machine room in Monninkylä.
