About Aparāts
Aparāts was a vibrant Latvian-Danish rock band that injected a playful, eclectic energy into the Baltic music scene during the early 2000s. The group formed in September 2000 in Rīga, Latvia, centered around the charismatic Danish frontman Peter Helms. Helms, who moved to Latvia to study music, became the band's creative engine, writing lyrics in Latvian that often featured a charming accent and a quirky, outsider's perspective on local life.
