About AOWDA
AOWDA is a stoner band formed in Enschede, The Netherlands in 2004 by lead singer and guitarist Tom Velthuizen. After working late in a local pop-stage, Tom and a friend (after having downed several drinks) were discussing how difficult it is to come up with a decent band name. They initially came up with "Angry Women Drinking Alcohol", but decided that it was too long and that the abbreviation wasn't very catchy either. Therefore, they inserted the word "Old" into the name and thus the name AOWDA was born.
