About Andreas Gidlund
Andreas Gidlund, born on October 31, 1976, in Umeå, is a Swedish jazz musician and composer. He also performs as The City of Birches, Eddie Harper, Gidde and Geeder. Andreas began his musical journey as a child, exploring various instruments. His love for the melancholic and sentimental expressions in music, especially jazz ballads, was possibly influenced by the cold and long winters of the north. Gidlund studied at Fridhems folkhögskola (1997-1999) and the University of Music and Drama in Gothenburg (1999-2002).
