About An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump
Named after an 18th Century oil painting, this now defunct all-girl trio (consisting of the enigmatically named C-Bird, D-Bird and X-Bird) from London played lo-fi tribal grunge rock. They were compared with Sonic Youth, The Jesus And Mary Chain, The Ronettes, The Bad Seeds and The Shangri-Las. They released two EPs, These Sins (2008) and Buy A Life (2009). D-Bird (Dee Sada) is now a member of the duo Paper Birch, after being one half of Blue on Blue (2011 - 2013).
