Ambrose can refer to either an English bandleader or a German emo band. 1. Benjamin Baruch Ambrose (15 September 1896 – 11 June 1971) was an English bandleader and violinist from the East End of London. He was almost universally known simply as Ambrose. He had extended residencies at the Embassy Club, the Mayfair Hotel and the Café de Paris. His orchestra was also notable as the place where Vera Lynn got her break as she was a regular with the band from 1937 to 1940.
