Perhaps Amberly Thiessen's connection to Canadian Idol can bring her some good luck this season: She's a resident of Seven Persons, Alberta, and graduated from Eagle Butte High School - the same high school that Season 2 winner Kalan Porter attended before winning his title in 2004. Amberly was born in Lloydminster, SK where she lived for eight years before moving to Alberta Making it into the Top 24 has been a tremendous accomplishment in itself for Amberly.
