About Alvie Self
Alvie Self was born in Cottonwood, Arizona .He grew Up In Verde Valley In his youth he worked in Rodeo, and also as a Heavy-Equipment Operator. At first he played Accordion , then took up guitar playing with a solid-body Les Paul guitar and used a Magnatone Amp. His first recording on the FORD label was ,(Ford 1015) "Rain Dance", next his very popular "Nancy" backed by "Let's Go Wild" now rare and highly regarded by serious record collectors .On
