About Alexander Curly

Alexander Curly, pseudonym of Harm Douwe Breemer (Haarlem, 14 August 1946 - Drachten, 4 June 2012) was a Dutch singer. Before starting his musical career, Breemer was a steward at KLM. In the 1960s, he played in the Maestro's. Later, with the guitarist of this band, he formed the duo Budhi. In 1972 he went solo and made his breakthrough with the number 1 hit I'll never drink again, after being discovered by Chiel Montagne in his TV programme Op Volle Toeren by the TROS.
