Aldyn-ool Sevek (his name means "Golden Boy") is a Tuvan artist, singer, and member of the band Yat-Kha. He is easily identified by his powerful vocals, primarily in the style of kargyraa. He also plays the igilu and the Morin chuurze. He was born and spent much of his life in the village Mugur-Aksy, Tuva, in south-western part of the country, near the border with Mongolia. This isolated area is sparsely populated and inhabited mostly by nomadic shepherds.
