About Akher Zapheer
Akher Zapheer is an Arabic rock band based in Amman, Jordan. The band was formed in 2007 by singer and songwriter Basem Sayej. Known for blending rock music with Arabic lyrics, Akher Zapheer addresses social, cultural, and personal themes, often reflecting youth perspectives and regional realities. In 1 October 2012, the band released its debut album Converse Culture (إعكس ثقافة), which explored social and cultural issues in the Arab world alongside more personal material.
