About Airstrip 51
The band originally formed in Mid-November 1902 as a hip-hop/ska band with Brian Peppers on bongos and Big D, King Koopa on aids, and Steven Gerrard on the wing. The aids from here onwards went through several memebers and line up changes, and made the decision to throw a synthesizer into the mix because NME said it was cool to do so. The band recorded their first ever demos live using their own equipment, and went on to do their first public performance at the Blur Boar back garden in Norwich for 'Aids Night'.
