About Afrobeat Academy
Berlin-based Afrobeat Academy is one of the heaviest afro-funk bands on the planet. The band formed in Berlin in 2005 to work with Nigerian guitar legend Oghene Kologbo and provide some serious weight to his original sounds. Together, they toured Germany and Holland, and appeared at the prestigious Soul Ascension Festival in Berlin's Lovelite. In 2007 they released the Afro Confusion 45 on Rabbi Records and a full length, limited edition cd titled "Remember Fela Anikulapo Kuti" (Lion's Ark).
