AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973. Their music has been described as hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal, though the band refers to it simply as "rock and roll." They are regarded as a significant influence on the new wave of British heavy metal and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. With more than 200 million records sold worldwide, they are among the best-selling music artists in history. AC/DC were founded by brothers Angus Young (lead guitar) and Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar)
