Abraham the Poor is Josh Gaines, a singer/songwriter operating out of Albuquerque, NM, since 2007. In December of that year, Gaines began AtP as a purely solo acoustic project and started writing and recording the material that would eventually make up "the pumpkin patch cabin ep," his first release. At the outset of the project, he wanted the music to be associated with something other than his own name, feeling that there is more reverence and grandeur in a title
