About Above the Atlantic
Above the Atlantic first came into existence in October of 2009 with a simple goal in mind – to make creative, honest rock music that could be appreciated by indie lovers and radio junkies alike. Singer/guitarist Matt Martin grew up playing acoustic music in Atlanta, GA, but when he moved to the Cleveland area, he knew that he wanted to explore new musical horizons. He wasn’t quite sure how to accomplish this, however, until he met bassist Robbie Bookshar and drummer Ricky Hamilton.
