About A Broad Green
a broad green is a collective of one. J. R. Newton is a broad green. Born 4th December 1965, in the industrial town of Salford, U.K. At the age of 7 his parents moved north to escape the junkies and homeless people that had taken over his parents home. (One of his earliest memories of going downstairs to find a naked woman lying in front of the fire.) His love of music began soon after this move. He desperately wanted to play the trombone, but was denied by his music teacher, saying that his arms were too short.
