929 is a indie folk band from Taiwan. The band is constituted of vocalist/guitarist 吳志寧, recorder player/ guitarist 黃玠, bassist/ tambourine player Dudu, and keyboardist/ back vocalist 小龜. Formed in 2000, they took their name from a pool hall's name that band members usually went to. The band is known for its poetic lyrics touching on such issues as environment, human rights, and rebellion against social injustice. Their first mini album 929 was released in April 2005.
