NPR.org, April 4, 2007 - 63 Crayons produce dark, danceable psychedelia out of Athens, Georgia. Their new album is Spoils for Survivors. Charlie Johnston (guitar) began recording and performing the band's mysterious songs in his hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Suzanne Allison (bass, keys) and Ben Davis (electronics, theremin) added texture to the songs as founding members of 63 Crayons. With this lineup, the band started producing upbeat, catchy pop through an EP of home recordings
