Band fused Hip hop with hardcore and delivered it with passion and conviction. 5 Star Society formed part of the christian hardcore/punk scene in the Western Cape between 2000 and 2003 playing alongside bands such as Aftertaste, Neshamah, Impropriety, Not Guilty etc.
