About 21 Hertz
This trip-hop group was created in 2003 in Stockholm, Sweden by Karin Stene (vocals), Christian Hörkkö (guitar and keyboards), Christian Ricci (bass and pads) and Sylvain Brochard (DJ). The idea was to make live electronic music, using regular “rock band” instruments like electric guitar or bass, and working with synthesizers, computers, and turntables. Slow beats, fat bass, sharp off-key melodies punctuated by twisted scratches support the enchanting vocals. So far, they have only released two albums.
