Geraldo Gershwin Saal, professionally known as Youngboi OG, is a South African hip-hop rapper, singer and songwriter. He was born on 3 September 2007 in Springbok and grew up in Aggeneys in the Northern Cape. He started making music in 2019, first rapping in Afrikaans. In 2023, he switched to English and began releasing music more seriously. That same year, he dropped his debut song, "I've been traumatized", and released his debut EP The Greatest of Me, which he created independently using BandLab on just his phone.
