Young Sensation formed in late 2007. Their songs present a potent mixture of escapism and confrontation, so moments of bright melodic pop are accentuated by idyllic lyrical imagery. However, this can often run headlong into moments of discordance and dissonance, with more pointed/ potent lyrical content. Thematically, this has produced songs such as first single “Beautiful Noise”, which moves from referencing William Blake’s “London” from his “Songs of Experience”, to much more optimistic ground:
