About Ylem Empyrean
Ylem is the brainchild of M-A Krieger and D DeVore, founded in Dayton, Ohio in the late '90's. Krieger's experience with folk-ambient experimentation blended so well with DeVore's adeptness at using psychedelic guitar effects that the results seemed effortless and inevitable. Though most of their music is improvised in the studio (drawing a profound influence from the early work of Tangerine Dream (Krieger) and the "Space-jam" sessions of The Grateful Dead (DeVore))
